The Alzheimer Society of Toronto has featured Jasmin Uglow’s story and her efforts on its official Facebook page in recognition of her deeply personal and impactful work with the organization. Uglow’s album Remember Me - a jazz and blues collection written from the perspective of a primary caregiver, was created to chronicle her lived experience caring for her father through Alzheimer’s and dementia, and to honour his memory. The album debuted through Humanity in Music’s nationwide fundraising concert for the Alzheimer Society, where all ticket proceeds helped support the Society’s mission to raise awareness and provide care for those affected by dementia. Remember Me continues to resonate with audiences and caregivers alike for its honest storytelling and emotional depth.

Jasmin Uglow participated in the Alzheimer Society of Toronto’s signature fundraising event, the Unforgettable Evening Gala, in 2014. The gala was held on October 30, 2014, at the Royal Ontario Museum.

During this period, Jasmin Uglow was actively involved as a key supporter and musician, contributing through performance and advocacy in alignment with her broader work through Humanity in Music. Her involvement reflected a deep personal commitment to Alzheimer’s awareness and caregiver support.

The 2014 Unforgettable Evening Gala was particularly notable as one of the most successful editions of the event. As the Alzheimer Society of Toronto’s primary annual fundraiser, the gala plays a critical role in supporting the Society’s counselling, education, and support programs for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as their caregivers.
